Tall buildings don’t plumb like houses. Many Las Vegas towers use Sovent, a single-stack drain, waste and vent system with special aerator and deaerator fittings that let one stack do the work of two. Repairs on Sovent systems have to respect how those fittings manage air and flow, or the whole stack can start to back up and siphon traps.
