Backflow Testing & Repair
Backflow preventers keep dirty water from flowing back into the public supply. TPM Services tests, repairs and replaces backflow assemblies for Las Vegas businesses, HOAs and homes with irrigation systems.
Protect Your Water, Stay on Schedule
Backflow happens when a drop in water pressure lets water from irrigation lines, boilers, soda machines or other equipment get pulled back into the drinking water supply. A backflow prevention assembly stops that from happening.
The Las Vegas Valley Water District says backflow prevention assemblies are required by law for many types of buildings and plumbing systems, and assemblies are expected to be tested when installed and at least once a year after that by a certified tester. A failed test means repairs or replacement before the assembly can pass.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often does a backflow preventer need to be tested?
In the Las Vegas area, backflow prevention assemblies are generally tested when they’re installed and at least once a year after that by a certified tester. Your water provider can confirm the requirement for your property.
Do homes need backflow testing?
Many homes don’t, but homes with certain irrigation systems, pools or other connections may have a backflow assembly that needs testing. If you have one, it should be tested on schedule.
What happens if my backflow assembly fails the test?
It needs to be repaired or replaced and then retested. Common fixes are new checks, springs, seals or relief valves.
What kinds of assemblies do you work on?
Reduced pressure (RP) assemblies, double check valve assemblies and pressure vacuum breakers for commercial buildings, HOAs, restaurants and irrigation systems.
Can you handle several properties or assemblies at once?
Yes. We work with property managers and HOAs to test and maintain multiple assemblies and can include backflow testing in a maintenance plan.
