How do I know if I have a slab leak?
Common signs include a water bill that jumps for no reason, warm or damp spots on the floor, the sound of running water when everything is off, cracks in flooring and low water pressure. If you notice any of these, call us. The sooner a slab leak is found, the less damage it does.
Why is my water heater popping or rumbling?
That noise is usually mineral sediment in the bottom of the tank. Las Vegas has very hard water, and the scale it leaves behind makes a water heater work harder and wear out sooner. Flushing the tank can help. If the tank is leaking or the water isn’t getting hot, it may need repair or replacement.
How long does a water heater last in Las Vegas?
Most tank water heaters last roughly 8 to 12 years, and Las Vegas hard water often puts them toward the low end of that range. Regular flushing helps. If yours is past 10 years old and showing rust, leaks or noise, it’s a good time to plan for a replacement before it fails.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Leave the building right away. Don’t use light switches, phones or anything that could spark while you’re inside. Once you’re at a safe distance, call 911 or your gas company’s emergency line. After the area is declared safe, call TPM Services at 702-932-5755 to repair the gas line.
Do you give estimates before starting work?
Yes. We diagnose the problem, explain your options and give you a clear estimate before any work begins, so there are no surprises on the invoice. You can request an estimate online or call us.
How can I protect my plumbing from Las Vegas hard water?
Flush your water heater once a year, clean faucet aerators and shower heads regularly, and consider a water softener to cut down on scale. Scale buildup is one of the main reasons fixtures and water heaters wear out early in the Las Vegas Valley.
Is TPM Services family owned?
Yes. TPM is a family-owned and operated Las Vegas company. We were born and raised here, and we’re raising our own families here, so we treat every home and business like it belongs to one of our neighbors.
Who will actually work on my plumbing?

Do you install tankless water heaters?
Yes. We install, repair and flush tankless water heaters, including Navien units, and help you decide between tank and tankless based on your home, your hot-water use and your gas line.
Do you install water softeners and filtration systems?
Yes. Las Vegas water is some of the hardest in the country. We install water softeners, whole-home filtration and reverse osmosis systems to protect your fixtures, water heater and appliances from scale.
Do you work on high-rise and Sovent drainage systems?
Yes. Our team has experience in Las Vegas high-rise towers and multi-unit buildings, including Sovent single-stack drain, waste and vent systems, stack repairs, domestic water risers and after-hours shutdowns coordinated with building engineering.
